Check White County VINELink Releases

A VINELink release check can follow one specific White County person and provide notice when the supplying agency reports a custody event. Illinois VINE offers offender and court search options, but White County participation must be confirmed in the live agency selector. The service can support county or state custody searches and notifications. It does not replace the jail release log, a court order, or the state corrections detail. It also does not cover federal BOP custody. Match the person and agency, save the exact event wording, and confirm what “released” meant before drawing a conclusion.

White County VINELink Release Fields

Field availability varies by supplying agency. The table lists the items to record when they appear, not a promise that White County exposes every item. A useful screenshot or note should omit private registration details, contact data, PINs, and account codes.

FieldHow to read it
Name and identifierMatch the correct person with more than the name alone.
Supplying agencyShows which custodian or court sent the event.
Custody statusReports the agency's current label; it may not describe all other custody.
Facility or locationHelps distinguish county jail, IDOC, court, or another source.
Event and timestampRecords what VINE received and when; it may differ from checkout or order time.
Notification choicesLists the events and delivery methods offered for that record.

A “released” event from White County does not itself rule out an IDOC transfer, another hold, or movement under USMS authority. The White County jail entry should supply disposition and destination. For a state prisoner, IDOC fields distinguish Parole Date, Projected Discharge Date, actual Discharge Date, and whether the sentence is discharged.

Register White County Release Alerts

Register while the person is still in custody when possible. Available events and delivery methods depend on the live record. The official Illinois instruction material separates the telephone acknowledgment PIN from account confirmation, and those steps should not be confused.

  1. Open the correctly matched person and agency record.
  2. Select Get Notified or Register, then choose the custody or court events offered.
  3. Choose phone, text, email, or app delivery as available, and enter the requested contact and language information.
  4. For telephone alerts, create the four-digit PIN used to acknowledge an automated call.
  5. Complete and save registration. A separate six-character code sent by text or email may confirm an account in the current flow.

Email does not use the phone-call acknowledgment PIN. Keep the registration private. Do not publish the contact address, phone number, PIN, or account-confirmation code.

The IDOC Victim Services page describes state corrections notification options. The image below is the matched official IDOC VINE resource from the manifest.

IDOC Victim Services can assist with IDOC-related matters, but it does not administer a user's VINE registration data.

Confirm White County VINE Events

VINE data can lag, and old events may not remain searchable. A failed search can result from agency participation, timing, data matching, removal of older data, or selection of the wrong custody category. It never proves release. Call White County Jail at 618-382-7149 for a county booking and ask for the public date, time, authority, disposition, and destination.

For state custody, open the IDOC search wrapper. Match the IDOC number, birth date, name, county case, and status. PAROLE with a past Parole Date means the person left prison under supervision. A future Projected Discharge Date is not an actual prison-exit date and not final discharge.

VINELink limit: VINE does not serve as the BOP federal locator, and a no-result is not affirmative evidence of release.

For a federal detainee housed at White County Jail, use the federal court and USMS path. After BOP admission, use the BOP locator. ICE has its own locator for civil immigration custody. Each system must be checked separately.

Illinois VINE Phone Support

Illinois VINE lists 866-566-8439. The official instruction card lists TTY 866-847-1298, while current accessibility material may direct callers to 7-1-1 relay. General VINELink support is 866-277-7477. IDOC Victim Services can help with IDOC-related matters at 877-776-0755, but questions about a specific White County jail departure still belong with the jail.

When calling, record the agency name, date and time, and the precise status wording. Do not ask a VINE support representative to interpret a court order or determine whether another hold exists. Those questions require the originating agency.

Match White County Supplying Agencies

Agency matching prevents the most common error. White County Jail can hold local defendants, other-county prisoners, and USMS detainees. A VINE event tied to one custodian says nothing conclusive about a second case or receiving authority. If the person left Carmi, ask whether the destination was the community, IDOC, Hamilton County, Edwards County, USMS, a hospital, or somewhere else.

For a court event, use the White County Circuit Clerk record to read the signed order and conditions. Then use the jail entry for execution. If the name disappears and IDOC shows an institution, describe the event as a transfer to state custody. If IDOC later shows PAROLE, describe release from prison with state supervision. Exact terms preserve the chain of custody.

White County Alerts Versus Proof

A notification is valuable because it arrives without repeated manual searches, but it is not the underlying release document. Preserve the message, event wording, timestamp, and supplying agency. Then obtain the jail movement entry or relevant state record when proof of the physical event is needed.

Event time
The time supplied to VINE for the status change.
Checkout time
The jail's record of physical departure.
Order time
The court's timestamp for legal authority.
Parole date
The IDOC date for release from prison to supervision.
Discharge date
The later end of sentence or supervision when shown.

These times can differ without any source being false. State which agency supplied each one and resolve conflicts through the underlying record.

Compare White County VINE and IDOC

IDOC details offer a different view from a VINE alert. Search by last name, IDOC number, or birth date, then compare the IDOC number, name, county case, status, and location. The detail may show an institution, PAROLE, a parole district, admission information, Parole Date, Projected Parole Date, Projected Discharge Date, actual Discharge Date, and whether a sentence is discharged.

Read those fields as a group. A past Parole Date with PAROLE status and a future Projected Discharge Date means the person left prison but remains under state supervision. It does not mean current confinement, and the projected discharge is not the prison-exit date. If VINE reports release near that date, retain both records and use IDOC for the state-custody meaning.

IDOC covers state custody. It does not ordinarily contain a person whose White County case ended at the county jail. Conversely, once the jail delivers a sentenced person to IDOC, White County's local custody record is no longer the source for current prison location or eventual state release.

No White County VINELink Result

First verify that Illinois, the correct search category, and the right supplying agency were selected. Try the exact name and any available identifier. A no-result may reflect participation, timing, a match problem, older data no longer being visible, or a person held in a different system. It should be recorded as “no matching VINE result found,” not “released.”

Call White County Jail for local custody. Review the Circuit Clerk file for the legal event. Search IDOC if prison transfer or state supervision is plausible. For a USMS detainee, use the federal court and custodian; for a sentenced federal prisoner, use BOP after admission. ICE requires its own locator. This fallback chain keeps one missing notification record from becoming a false status claim.

Interpret White County Release Alerts

“Released” must be tied to the agency that supplied it. A White County event can mean departure from the county jail, but the destination may still be IDOC, another county, or federal custody. An IDOC event may mean release from prison to mandatory supervised release, while the sentence remains active. A court event may record authorization before the physical movement occurs.

Ask one follow-up question: where did the person go? The White County jail movement entry should name the disposition and destination. IDOC supplies state status. The court supplies authority. When those sources agree, the conclusion can be stated precisely. When they conflict, report each timestamp and label, then request the underlying record rather than choosing the most convenient result.
